A pleasant beginning makes for a rewarding child-dentist relationship..
It is sometimes necessary
for Mom or Dad to wait outside the operatory so the doctor can establish
a "one to one" rapport
with the child, especially if child is apprehensive.
Children are not born with fears; fears are learned. Children grow
quickly and changes in the oral cavity occur rapidly. It is essential
that examination (x-rays when needed), prophylaxis (cleaning
the teeth) and fluoride treatments be performed at six month intervals,
or more frequently, if necessary. Strict adherence to this schedule
is strongly advised. We are always available in the
case of an emergency. Our answering service can reach us after hours
and if there is ever a problem, please do not hesitate to call.
